Survival Foraging

Surviving Off the Land:

The ability to forage off the land is a valuable skill, but this can vary from region to region even within a state.  If you are from Washington, Texas would have a completely different set of knowledge needed to safely forage off the land.  Alaska has a variety of plants and berries that can help sustain you in times of emergency or to just add some variety to your diet in good times.  In a  worst case scenario you may have to live off what you can find until help arrives, or to supplement your food preps.  Alaska doesnt have an abundant source of easily available food like the warmer climates to the south, but there is ample food available if you know where to look, how to forage it and store it for the lean winter months if you have to.
